I live out in the suburbs of Rochester and when I am in town visiting my parents we try to visit your theatre, I love it. I am a subscriber at Geva theatre here in Rochester. I cannot express how much I loved the Whipping Man, it was so profound. It is on our list next season at Geva and I cannot wait to see it again. I would have sat there and watched it again at your theatre if there was a show following ours. Can't wait to see your production in July.

Carol & Peter,

As I mentioned to Carol last afternoon, I have attended many outstanding performances at Curtain Call but I can honestly say "The Whipping Man" stands out above them all. The dramatically presented, multi-level messages of this play will stay with me for quite a long time. Thank you for having the courage and insight to bring it to the Capital Region.

This is overdue. The choice of Next Fall as a Curtain Call production was much appreciated. A reminder for me, among other things, that the American creative arts are alive and well. ...such a brilliant, humane contemporary theatre work.....and so well cast and played with the utmost integrity. Thank you so much for this thoughtful, from the heart production.

Dear Curtain Call Theater:

I have been meaning to write this letter for a little over a week now and finally took the time to do so.

I recently attended your show, Next Fall. It was my first time at your theater and I have fallen in love with your troupe. The actors and actresses were simply amazing. I have been in theater for a number of years now myself from set design to acting to producing and directing and I know the hard work and dedication it takes to put on a decent show let alone one of such a caliber as your show.

As I said, I have been in theater for a while and I have been to many shows, but none have ever, ever moved me the way this show did. I have never cried at a performance. Ever. Until Next Fall. I sat there in my seat bawling like a baby with tears streaming down my face sitting between my two male friends who thought I was a bit over emotional. But hey, I don't care. It was moving and I did not realize that I had gotten so enthralled, so engrossed, so into the show that I forgot it was just a show and not real life as if it were my life going on up there on that little stage. Yes, I know a lot goes to the writer. And I do not mean to underscore his great writing because it is definitely fabulous. But the performance was SPECTACULAR!

I wish I could have met the actors after the performance, but I probably would have been a blubbering idiot, so maybe it was a good thing that your theater doesn't bring the actors out after for a meet and greet.

I just really needed to let you know how much I enjoyed my first time with Curtain Call Theater and I am most definitely not going to be a stranger! And I cannot wait to bring my wife to one of your shows. She will absolutely adore it!

Bravo! Encore! Encore!

Peace,

Jeffrey Van Iderstine

My wife and I enjoyed a remarkable performance tonight of "Anne Frank". It was a very moving experience and expertly done. I do have the "Anne Frank Story" as well as "Diary of Anne Frank" and I will read them both again with tonight's program with cast alongside. Now I will be able to see the characters played out just as I did tonight at the theater as I read. Well done by all.

What a way to start the 2011 Curtain Call season! We were at Friday's show of The Boys Next Door and thoroughly loved everything about it! The direction, the actors and the play itself was wonderful! The portrayal of the characters, by your talented actors, was so real and believeable. The story made us laugh and cry. It was theater at its best. We are never disappointed when we come to Curtain Call for your shows, and The Boys Next Door will be added to our list of favorites. We are so looking forward to the rest of your season.
